RED Productions were formed in April 2010 with the aim of providing Real Educational Drama to schools and communities in the west of Scotland.

RED will hold open auditions for each of its productions. This website was built to guide anyone interested in information on how to join, how to be a part of, or details about our future productions.

RED’s vision is to put on full length productions of plays studied in the schools within the West of Scotland, providing these schools with the material needed to prepare for end of year examinations.

RED is also pleased to provide SQA qualifications in drama to those who are involved in their large-scale pieces, such as qualifications for lighting, sound, costumes and make-up. This will be assessed and graded by RED’s co-founder, Kirsty Strahan, who is a visiting examiner based within East Renfrewshire.
